    Ricardo NILLNI

     

     

    Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1960. In 1999 has obtained French nationality. He studied

    Composition at the Faculty of Arts and Musical Science in Buenos Aires, obtaining a higher teaching degree in composition in 1985.

     

    Since 1987 he has been living in Paris, where he continued his studies at the Higher National Conservatory of Music, obtaining its prize for composition.

     

    Has completed his training with Franco Donatoni in Sienna and at the IRCAM.

     

     Since 1991, he has been awarded several prizes : the TRINAC prize, TRIME and Boswil to name but a few. In 1999, he obtained the prize for composition from the town of Wiesbaden for his work Habillage du vide.

     

    Between 1999 and 2002 his was composer in residence of the Orchestra de Picardie. A monographic CD containing his orchestral works was released in 2003.

     

    In 2003 his work “Plongements” has opened the 81th Donaueschingen Festival.

     

    His work has been interpreted by the Philharmonic Orchestra of Radio France, the Mayo Orchestra, The Picardie Orchestra 2EM, Ensemble InterContemporain ,The ensemble Recherche , A Tempo, Quertett Avance, Ensemble FA, Court-Circuit, Pierrot Lunaire Ensemble, Itineraire, El perro andaluz, Das Neue Ensemble, etc and has been published by Billaudot, EME, Ricordi Munich and Babelscores.

     

    In 2015  his Concerto liquido for saxo and ensemble was recorded and released in CD  by Kairos label.

     

    In 2016 a new monographic CD was released involving cello chamber music.

     

    His music was created in several festivals like Donaueschingen, Presences, Son-Mu, Darmstadt, Why note. A tempo, Pontino, York Spring Festival, etc.
